16G — helix, tragus, conch, daith, cartilage
18G — earlobe, cartilage, nostril
20G — earlobe, nostril
Sizing: 6mm and 8mm cover most ears — 6mm for lobes and snug cartilage placements, 8mm where there's more tissue or any swelling. If you're between sizes on a newer piercing, size up; you can always downsize once it settles.
