Collection: Septum

A septum piercing goes through the thin strip of tissue between the nostrils, not the cartilage itself. It heals in 2 to 3 months, and it has one property no other facial piercing has — you can flip it up and out of sight in seconds.

This collection covers everything we carry for septums: clicker rings, seamless hoops, horseshoe circular barbells and retainers.

Clickers are the most common choice and the easiest to live with. A hinged segment swings open and snaps shut, so there is no bead to lose. If one stops closing, the cause is usually debris in the socket rather than a fault — soak it in warm water, clean the notch gently, and close it along the curve rather than squeezing the ends together.

Septum jewelry has a definite orientation, which catches people out when they are working blind in a mirror. If a clicker will not seat, check you are not holding it upside down before assuming something is wrong.

Everything here is implant-grade titanium, ASTM F-136 — nickel-free and safe to wear while healing.
