Collection: Hoops

A hoop is the fastest way to make a piercing look finished. It reads as deliberate in a way a plain stud does not, and it works in almost every placement — helix, conch, daith, nostril, septum and lobe.

This collection brings together every hoop style we carry: hinged clicker rings that snap shut, seamless rings with no visible join, and huggie hoops that sit tight against the ear.

Diameter is the number that matters, and it is the one most people get wrong. Hoop diameter is measured on the inside of the ring, which means the piece is physically larger than the number suggests — an 8mm hoop at 16G measures around 10.4mm across the outside. The inner measurement is the space the hoop has to wrap around, so thicker tissue needs more of it. If your current hoop leaves a mark or sits at an odd angle, it is too small for your anatomy rather than the wrong style.

Hoops suit healed piercings better than healing ones. During healing a hoop rotates and drags through a channel that is still forming, which is why piercers start people on flat back studs and switch later.
