We started Vital Piercing because we were tired of angry piercings.

Like so many of you, we love body modification. We love the way a new septum ring changes your whole look, or how a perfectly curated ear stack makes you feel more "you."

But for years, our personal piercing journeys were filled with frustration. We dealt with the dreaded "piercing bumps." We had earlobes that turned green and itchy. We had cartilage piercings that just would not heal, no matter how much we baby-ed them.

We thought we were just unlucky, or that our bodies "rejected" piercings.

Then, we learned the truth: It wasn't us. It was the metal.
