How Does It Compare?

Moissanite is almost as durable as a diamond, with a hardness rating of 9.25 on the Mohs scale — just slightly below a diamond's perfect 10. While both stones are incredibly tough, moissanite stands out for its brilliance. Its refractive index is higher than a diamond's, giving it more vivid color dispersion, or "fire," so it sparkles with greater intensity.
