The complete piece — pink moissanite top and flat back labret bar together, ready to wear. A single round stone held in prongs, in three sizes from a subtle 3mm to a 5mm half-carat.

Prongs grip the stone from the edges rather than wrapping it, so light passes through from underneath. That matters more with a colored stone than a clear one — light entering from below is what makes the pink read as depth rather than a flat tint.

These are VVS clarity stones, meaning any inclusions are extremely difficult to see even under magnification.

Why moissanite: moissanite is silicon carbide, lab-grown rather than mined. It rates 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale against a diamond's 10, so it resists scratching and holds its polish far better than cubic zirconia, which dulls with everyday wear. Its refractive index of 2.65–2.69 is higher than a diamond's 2.42 — meaning it throws more fire, not less.

Sizing: 6mm and 8mm cover most ears — 6mm for lobes and snug cartilage placements, 8mm where there's more tissue or any swelling. If you're between sizes on a newer piercing, size up; you can always downsize once it settles.

A note on stone size: at 5mm this sits wider than most tops. It suits lobes and roomier cartilage placements better than tight spots, and needs a little clearance in an ear stack. 3mm is the safer choice for close placements.
