A curved barbell with a prong-set moissanite at each end, 3mm apiece. Both stones show, which is what makes a curved barbell different from a labret — in an eyebrow or rook you see one end above and one below, and here both are set rather than plain balls.

Prongs hold each stone from the edges rather than wrapping it, so light reaches the moissanite from underneath and both ends sit raised off the bar.

These are D color, VVS clarity stones. D is the highest color grade, meaning completely colorless, and VVS clarity means any inclusions are extremely difficult to see even under magnification.

Why moissanite: moissanite is silicon carbide, lab-grown rather than mined. It rates 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale against a diamond's 10, so it resists scratching and holds its polish far better than cubic zirconia, which dulls with everyday wear. Its refractive index of 2.65–2.69 is higher than a diamond's 2.42 — meaning it throws more fire, not less.

Why internally threaded matters: the threading sits inside the bar, and the ends screw into it. That means the section passing through your piercing is completely smooth, with no threads to drag against the channel on insertion or removal. It's the standard piercers use for a reason.

Sizing: curved barbell length is measured along the curve, not straight across. 8mm suits most rook and eyebrow piercings; 10mm gives more room where there's extra tissue or any swelling. If your current jewelry presses into the skin at either end, size up.

Tightening: hold one end steady and turn the other clockwise until it stops. Check both ends with clean, dry hands every so often — threaded ends work loose over time, and lotion or soap on your fingers makes it hard to tell when it's fully tight.
