Two prong-set moissanites on a 14G curved barbell — 5mm on top, 6.5mm below, 1.50 carats between them. This is the largest stone weight in our range, and at 6.5mm the lower stone is close to the size you'd see in a fine jewelry piece rather than body jewelry.

Prongs hold each stone from the edges rather than wrapping them, so light reaches the moissanite from underneath and both stones sit raised clear of the bar. On a piece this size that matters — a bezel would swallow a lot of the stone.

These are D color, VVS clarity stones. D is the highest color grade, meaning completely colorless, and VVS clarity means any inclusions are extremely difficult to see even under magnification.

Why moissanite: moissanite is silicon carbide, lab-grown rather than mined. It rates 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale against a diamond's 10, so it resists scratching and holds its polish far better than cubic zirconia, which dulls with everyday wear. Its refractive index of 2.65–2.69 is higher than a diamond's 2.42 — meaning it throws more fire, not less.

Why internally threaded matters: the threading sits inside the bar, and the ends screw into it. That means the section passing through your piercing is completely smooth, with no threads to drag against the channel on insertion or removal. It's the standard piercers use for a reason.

Gauge and length: 14G at 10mm is the standard navel size and fits most people. Curved barbell length is measured along the curve, not straight across. If your current jewelry feels tight or the ends press into the skin, you may need a longer bar — check with your piercer rather than guessing.

A note on weight: at 1.50ct the lower stone has real presence, and a larger stone carries more weight than a plain ball end. Best suited to a fully healed piercing that's settled and comfortable with everyday jewelry.

A note on gold PVD: the gold color is a 24K PVD coating applied over implant grade titanium. Treat it as you would any plated finish — avoid harsh cleaners and remove it before swimming in chlorinated water to keep the color looking its best.

Tightening: hold the bottom end steady and turn the top clockwise until it stops. Check it with clean, dry hands every so often — threaded ends work loose over time, and lotion or soap on your fingers makes it hard to tell when it's fully tight.
