Collection: Septum Clickers

A clicker is the easiest septum jewelry to put in and take out. A hinged segment swings open, and when it comes back round the post seats into its socket with an audible click. No bead to lose, nothing to unscrew.

This collection covers our septum clickers: plain, gem-set and decorative, in 16G.

Clickers are also the style that makes flipping practical. A septum piece can be turned up inside the nose and effectively disappears, which is why it is the piercing people choose when their workplace is uncertain.

Two things to know. Clickers are designed to open to roughly ninety degrees — force one further and you stretch the hinge, and a sprung hinge no longer holds the segment on its arc. And if one stops closing, the cause is usually debris in the socket rather than a fault. Soak it in warm water, work the notch gently with a soft brush, dry it, and close it along the curve of the ring rather than squeezing the ends together.

Diameter is measured on the inside of the ring. Everything here is implant-grade titanium, ASTM F-136. A septum heals in 2 to 3 months.
