Collection: Gold

Gold body jewelry covers two different things, and the difference matters for a healing piercing. Gold-tone titanium gets its colour from an anodised oxide layer or a PVD finish applied over implant-grade titanium. Solid gold is gold all the way through, with no coating involved.

This collection brings together everything we carry in a gold finish: nose studs and hoops, flat back labret studs, hinged hoops, septum clickers, threadless tops and barbells.

Both are safe to wear. Anodised titanium adds no second material — the colour comes from the metal's own surface — so it behaves exactly like plain titanium against your skin. PVD is a bonded coating, durable and long-wearing, but it is still a layer over the base metal, so what sits underneath is what matters. Ours is over implant-grade titanium.

What we do not carry is gold plating over brass or unnamed alloys. That is where gold jewelry goes wrong — once thin plating wears through, the base metal underneath is usually the reason a piercing starts reacting.

For gold that is solid rather than finished, see our solid 14K gold range. Browse gold by piercing in nose rings, septum rings and huggie hoops, or see rose gold and black.
