CZ Prong Threadless Studs

A prong setting holds the stone in raised claws, lifting it above the metal so light reaches it from the sides as well as the top. That is why a prong-set stone reads brighter than a bezel of the same size.

This collection is our prong-set CZ threadless tops, in a range of stone sizes for cartilage, lobes and nostrils.

The trade-off is snagging. Prongs stand proud of the setting, and anything raised will find hair, pillowcases and knitwear eventually. If you want maximum sparkle and are happy to be a little careful, prong is the setting. If the piece is going in somewhere you sleep on, bezel-set sits flatter.

Cubic zirconia gives you the look of a clear stone at a fraction of the cost, which matters for a piece that is small, worn every day, and occasionally lost. A stone you can replace without flinching is the right stone for a piercing.
