Collection: 16G Threadless

16G is the standard gauge for cartilage, and threadless is the system piercers use in it. Together they cover most of what goes in a helix, tragus, conch, rook, daith or flat piercing.

This collection is every threadless piece we carry in 16G: flat back labret bars and the push-pin tops that fit them, in plain, gem-set and opal finishes.

Threadless holds by friction rather than thread. A short pin on the back of the top is bent slightly, and that bend springs against the inside of the hollow bar to lock it. Nothing to unscrew means nothing works loose overnight โ€” which is where most jewelry goes missing.

Adjusting the bend is normal, not a fault. If a top will not stay in, grip the end of the pin and increase the curve slightly. If it will not go in at all, you have bent it too far. Titanium takes a few adjustments.

Threadless is not a universal standard โ€” pin diameters and bar bores vary between makers. Our tops work with our labret bar.

Everything here is implant-grade titanium, ASTM F-136. Cartilage takes 6 to 12 months to heal depending on placement, and a flat back is the piece for that window.
